I am confused about which one is better to buy, C++BuilderX or
C++Builder 6 Studio or what.
I wish they had a feature matrix that compares those 2, like they do for
comparing personal/pro/enterprise.
Anyone have a link to some general advice on which to pick?
PS: I'm looking at Windows programming only, my priorities are
stability, having a good VCL (but corba/soap/etc are NOT needed), and of
course great debugging tools.

C++BuilderX does not have the RAD environment to develop VCL applications
in. It is more a cross-platform IDE for building projects using C++.
C++Builder 6 Studio is the VCL-based RAD environment for building Windows
and CLX applications.

Sorry, but I just noticed they also have
C++Builder Studio 6 and C++Builder 6... and the price is nearly double
for Studio...
Do you have a 1-2 sentence summary for the difference between those 2 as
well?

That depends on what you want to use them for in the first place. BCB and
CBX are completely different products. BCB is Windows/Linux IDE that
supports Win32 API and VCL development. CBX is a cross-platfom IDE that has
no VCL at all (unless you have BCB6 installed as well), ships with the BCB6
compiler/linker, and allows you to plug in other vendors' tools in the IDE's
build chain.

Comparing them to each other would be like comparing apples to gorillas.
They have almost nothing in common with each other.

Those are different editions of the same product. You are asking for a
comparison of completely different and unrelated products.
