I can recommend Intraweb. It's the fastest/easiest way for a Delphi/BCB
user to build web applications. If you're a web newbie, have experience
in the RAD Win32 world and need to get something on the web, there's no better
framework. Even if you're an experienced web developer, Intraweb is a nice
framework but IMO its sweet spot is for Delphi/BCB guys wanting to build
web applications.
The main downside IMO, is that there is a much, much smaller third-party
marketplace for UI components compared to an alternative like ASP.NET. You
can always roll your own stuff in HTML/JS, however, a major reason for a
component based framework IMO is to remove the developer from that drudgery.
The other differences may be seen as a good thing or a bad thing depending
on what you're doing. For example, Intraweb easily deploys in a "standalone"
fashion: one exe, webserver integrated (it can also do ISAPI and .NET if
you're doing .NET work). You don't need IIS or Apache. So if you're deploying
an intranet application or you have a co-lo, this isn't a problem and in
some cases even better.
However if you're buying internet hosting, it's much easier to deploy an
ASP.NET application. That said, Intraweb for .NET is a viable product for
..NET deployment, however it still cannot utilize ASP.NET components (at this
time).

Faced with a requirement for a local web server app that would allow users
to view the collated status of several monitoring apps from their desktop
PC's, I promised to provide a web page to demonstrate the 'look' of the
proposed app after a couple weeks, so as to allow the customer to suggest
changes. Using Intraweb, I was able to demonstrate, instead of merely a
page template, a complete, working server after the two weeks.
In one job, IW returned its investment twice over.
Rgds,
Martin

I have had an awful experience with this product (support and usage wise).
I do not wish to start a flame war, but I think it would be beneficial for
you to look at alternatives as well. If you're only wanting a Delphi tool,
look at Kim Madsen's stuff. I know there are more too. CGIExpert is an
option if you want ISAPI, but it does not seem like it is maintained
anymore.

To each his own.
Want to add my own experience with Intraweb has
been fantastic - great support, constant updates
(fastest I know of to get compatible with latest browsers)
and very PROFITABLE for a web programmer...

Here too.
I'm writing very complex webapp in a snap. That I found interessting
with Intraweb is the way that he was done, you can be a very high end
user or a low level programmer, you can access to every all aspect of
the product. HTML production at fly enable fantastic thinks !
My opinion : A Must in my opinion.
