Hi,
I have updated the wxwindows designer. Currently the program supports
almost all the basic wxwindows widgets.
I have lot of things to complete in the project. Please let me know if
you are willing to help the following tasks.
1)Create Inspector Editor for TImage component.
2)Create Inspector Editor for Listview columns.
3)Create Inspector Editor for Treeview columns.
4)Create Inspector Editor for Choosing Color.
5)Create Inspector Editor for Choosing Fonts.
6)Create a mechanism for handling Events
7)Ability to add custom components.
8)Ability to Check unnamed and duplicate names.
9)Create Project template for VC++ 6.0, 2002, 2003 BCB and BCX.
10)Fix jvInspector crash.
if these tasks are completed then we will have a fullfledged Designer.
You can grab a copy for the preview from
http://www-ec.njit.edu/~grk4352/wxdlg/wxdesigner003.zip
If you can help me with the project, please send an email to grk4352 at
njit.edu and I will send the code asap.

Can you please take this to the third party newsgroup. You are writing a third
party plugin and that is where this conversation and announcements belongs.
Thank you.

If there is somebody up there could they throw me down a line. Just a
little helping hand just a little understanding. Just some answers to the
questions that surround me now. If there's somebody up there could
they throw me down a line. (Fish)

Jeff, I'm really sorry for posting the message here. Hereafter I will
follow up in the thirdparty newsgroup.

Kathire, are you planing to compile your code with Kylix ? I have
tried to run your WX-Designer with Wine on Linux, it works, but with
some errors and looks odd, otherwise it is really cool..

What surprises me is the tone of your message. While Borland is only making
a mess, there are some people doing a good and interesting work, that
deserves commendation. Borland should have thrown away their lame designer
that they preview now and hire this guy to make a job that they are
incapable of doing themselves. Why to chase away an interesting discussion
to a group that nobody participates in?

How about the cbuilderx.wx group or cbuilderx.designer group. I see it
has also been posted to the wx users mailing list. Jeff is correct in
that we should post to the most appropriate groups, and a cppbuilder
non-tech group isn't the most appropriate IMHO.

I agree with G.B.R. This person is looking for help with this project not
trying to sell anything. IMHO you're completely off base and should
retract your comments.
I saw this designer here, was curious about it, downloaded it and
tried it, and have been watching for other to comment about it. If
it had been in the 3rd party group I never would have seen it.

Why? You're saying this designer isn't technical? Whether it belongs
in the third party group (I think it does) or the wxwindows group or
some other group, it clearly doesn't belong here.
"Third party" doesn't imply that you're selling something. It implies
that it's something created by a third party, not part of the original
product. That's exactly what this designer is.
I don't really understand why everyone is getting so upset by Jeff's
comment. He didn't say anything negative about Kathire's designer. I
suspect that, like me, he hasn't even tried it, so he wouldn't be
qualified to say either way whether it's good or bad. All he said is
that it should be discussed somewhere more appropriate. He's right. It
should.

That's irrelevant. If someone posts in .third-party about what color
socks they wear you and I would both miss that too, but that doesn't
mean discussions about socks belong here.

Perhaps they belong in borland.public.cppbuilder.internet.socket
For the record, I'm wearing Tigger socks.

Perhaps it's the increasing contrast between the two which causes
irritation?

TeamB is quite permissive wrt netiquette. I would say they are too
much permissive.
BTW, go to
http://info.borland.com/newsgroups/teamb/teambbyproduct.html
and you will observe that the TeamB members that more often invokes
netiquette rules on the BCB ngs are *not* BCB folks. Funny. IMO, the
BCB TeamB members are the most objetive and least religious wrt
Borland too. Is it just a coincidence?
Finally, I'll say that we often discuss topics here that are way more
offtopic than what the OP started. Switching to .thirdpartytools is an
effective way of diminishing the visibility of an otherwise
interesting project.

Hi Kathire,
I would like to help in developing your wxDesigner. I'm not
a proffessional programmer and I use Builder not delphi. I'm
not sure how I can help but I would like to. My interest is
in graphics so may be I can help with TImage component.
my email is
