Hello,

I have need to open and extract Windows XP compressed folders onto a
computer without that capability and do it programmatically. Regular old
WinZip can open and extract these files, but I need to do this within a
Delphi 7 Ent program. I have TurboPower's Abbrevia, which works fine with
standard zip files, but it fails on the Win XP Compressed files.

Can someone please tell me about the best way to accomplish this, or of a
third party tool that is available?

Thanks in advance,
Craig

Liz,

Thanks for the tip on ZipForge. Having some problems downloading the
component, but I anticipate this will get me what I need.

Thanks again,
Craig

Craig,

MS Zip format is not compartible with WinZip/PKZip
Just use the any component for CAB-compression. There MS Zip is a part of
engine

Thanks for the response.

I finally managed to get a download of ZipForge, and it works perfectly.

ZipForge is the best general purpose compression tool I've ever
used,... or tried to use!
